A Magical Weekend In The Trees: Wolf Wood Treehouse

This October, Louise and I took a brief break from the daily grind, leaving our campervan behind for a magical weekend at the Wolf Wood Spa Treehouse in Devon to mark our 10th wedding anniversary.

The location

Perched high in a secluded woodland canopy, this exquisite treehouse provided an unforgettable mix of nature and luxury.

As we approached the treehouse via a private track, we were immediately struck by its stunning location. Perched on the side of a hill, it boasted breathtaking views over the woodland valley and the distant tors of Dartmoor, yet it was tastefully hidden amongst the foliage.

The treehouse was an architectural wonder, featuring three interconnected living spaces that appeared to hover amidst the trees. Inside, it offered the luxury of a five-star hotel. The lounge area, boasting a snug wood-burning stove and a smart TV, quickly became our favourite place to unwind with a book or enjoy a movie night. The fully equipped kitchen enabled us to cook romantic dinners, and the welcome basket filled with premium treats was a delightful surprise.

The Spa

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the spa experience. The deck featured a luxurious hot tub offering spectacular treetop views, and a Huum sauna was down a spiral staircase. Soaking in the hot tub under the stars, with nothing but the rustle of leaves and distant owl hoots, was pure magic.

Our nights were spent in absolute comfort in the king-size bed, waking to stunning woodland views through the large windows. The bathroom’s walk-in waterfall shower and organic toiletries added to the overall sense of luxury.

What struck us most about the Wolf Wood Spa Treehouse was its perfect balance of seclusion and comfort. We felt completely immersed in nature yet had every modern convenience at our fingertips. We were enveloped in tranquillity and indulgence from our arrival to our reluctant departure.

We can’t recommend the Wolf Wood Spa Treehouse enough for anyone seeking a unique and rejuvenating escape. It’s more than just accommodation; it’s an experience that nourishes the soul and creates lasting memories. We’re already planning our return.
